OUR LEADERS

Meet Our Leaders

We are blessed to have some of the best leadership serving God at Union Temple.
They each serve our church and community with a desire to spread the gospel of Christ all throughout our city.

Lead Pastor, Rev. Anika Wilson Brown, PhD has an innate ability to fuse the treatment of body, mind, and soul for a lasting indelible impression on one's best self and best life puts her in a category of her own. One of the most sought-after speakers on the topic of merging faith and psycho therapy, Anika has spoken on diverse platforms, ranging from arena-sized gatherings to one-on-one small sessions. She uses her platform as a means of helping the individual actualize his or her best self.  Although many people and institutions of faith view therapy and faith as polar opposites, Anika aims to bridge the great divide between both worlds.  As a licensed and ordained Baptist Minister and Pastor of Union Temple Baptist Church in Washington, DC, Anika believes that the process towards true healing is, in fact, a spiritual one that requires follow-up care with therapeutic techniques for ultimate wholeness.   Her message is one of healing and restoration through practical application. Her message is Dynamic.
