Kim’s Kin Ministry (formerly the Huggin Ministry) is UTBC’s HIV/AIDS outreach ministry. Kim’s Kin is named in honor of Kim Foster, a loyal member who worked at the Akoma Project until she succumbed to her illness. Our goal is to educate, empower, and enlighten our community on HIV/AIDS through a series of community outreach events, pop up educational sessions, and testing opportunities. We will also honor the “Huggin Ministry” by hosting social events to bring together families who have been impacted by this disease (face-to-face event are on hold for the time being but we have alternative ways to support outreach endeavors).
